Many federal employees are eligible for Social Security Benefits and Medicare in retirement. Most federal employees, were never educated on how to decide when to take their Social Security Benefits, (age 62, 65-67, or 70), and how they should coordinate their spousal benefits. This decision could make a difference of tens of thousands of dollars during retirement. In addition, the Windfall Elimination Provision is covered for CSRS employees. Finally the coordination of Medicare is discussed in relationship to FEHB and Social Security. This is a great class for those approaching 62, or already beyond that.
